The French writer A. T. Limojon de Saint-Didier is associated with Le Triomphe hermétique and the material translated in The Hermetical Triumph (1723). The English volume brings together a dialogue, explanatory discourse and a letter on the philosophical stone, alongside translation notes. Its earlier anonymous dialogue and unnamed English translator should not be confused with a single modern author. HIPS presents this work as alchemical literature, not as instructions for chemical experiments or medical treatment.
